Lower part of my refrigerator won’t stay cold or even get cold I’ve only owned it for 4 months
For model number FFTR1835VSB
Hi Jesus,
Thank you for your question. If the fresh food section of your refrigerator is too warm, we recommend checking the evaporator fan motor for continuity with a multimeter on the Rx1 setting to see if it is operating normally. The evaporator fan motor circulates the air from the freezer into the fresh food section. Before removing and testing this part, unplug the refrigerator from the electrical outlet. First check and see that motor shaft turns freely with little resistance and that there are no signs of damage to the motor. If there are no signs of damage and you can turn the motor shaft, test it with the multimeter. You should receive a reading between 10 and 100 ohms. If you get any other reading, you will need to replace the evaporator fan motor. We hope this helps!
