I’ve maker will no dispense cubes, only crushed ice. The digital panel displays partial numbers.
For model number FFHB2740PSEA
Hi Jon,
Thank you for your question. If you are switching from crushed to cubed ice, it is normal to get a small amount of crushed ice at first. When you switch to cubed ice, a lever behind the ice bucket opens a flap to allow cubed ice to be dispensed. If an ice cube gets caught behind the ice bucket, it can prevent the lever from working. You will need to remove the ice bucket and remove any ice that may have fallen behind it. If there are no ice cubes behind the bucket, try dispensing ice with the bucket removed. Shut the refrigerator door and press the ice dispenser. You are doing this to see if you hear a loud snapping noise. If there is no snapping noise, service will be needed. If you hear a snapping noise, reinsert the bucket and try cubed ice again. If cubed ice is not dispensed, then check the ice bucket to see if the ice in it has frozen together. If it has frozen together, dump it out and clean the bucket. Reinsert the bucket and try the dispenser again. If this does not help, then there may be an issue with the dispenser control board and it will need to be replaced. We hope this helps!

First off my ice maker stopped working, it wont even fill the ice tray with water. But if i run it through the diagnostic mode all functions work
So. I completed a full rebuild of my ice maker as the heating element melted the plastic housing and part of the back wall of my fridge and had Ice building up around the unit. . So I rebuilt it using the OEM rebuild kit with the rubber seal and aluminum evaporator cover. I waiting 12 hours over night Ice was still not being produced.
I ran through the auto diagnostic mode and all functions with the icemaker work as far as i can tell. Dispense water into the tray, turn and eject the water ect. But under normal operating conditions it wont fill the tray with water. I am not sure if the operating temperature is registering cold enough, to start the process? also i don't see / feel the fan for the evaporator coils is kicking on to push cold air. Maybe because water was not dispensed yet? I tested the fan with a 9v battery and it spun up so I know the fan works
Im thinking its a control board issue not wiring harness but im not sure what board / part controls these function
For model number FFHB2740PSEA
Hi Joseph, thank you for reaching out. Check the wiring connections between the control board and the ice maker first. If they are fine, the issue could be with the dispenser control board, part number PS16555506. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. We hope this solves your problem!

Hello, my refrigerator experienced an electrical brownout and now the compressor will not run. The digital display in the front works along with the interior lights and fan. Are you able to help with this?
For model number FFHB2740PSEA
Hello and thank you for writing.
We can try to help.
We suggest to try a hard reset:
Go to your breaker box and shut the breakers for your unit off, wait 5 minutes and then turn the breaker to on again. That should hopefully clear this problem.
If this does not fix this problem then your thermistor and/or possibly a malfunctioning or shorted inverter might possibly need to be replaced. Please see the part links related to this question just beneath this answer. We hope this helps. Please contact us anytime.

I have a question about my ice maker not making ice what should I do?
For model number FFHB2740PSEA
Hello Lillian, thank you for contacting us. According to our understanding, we would recommend checking the water filter for any clogging. If the filter is fine, then the issue is most probably with the water inlet valve, part number PS7321353. We would recommend replacing it to fix the issue. Glad to be of help!

Ice maker wouldn't change from crushed to cubed ice
First I pulled the ice tray out so I could see the solenoid housing/ice tray support(1 unit). Below the ice tray there are 2 screws that hold the solenoid housing/ice tray support. After removing those the assembly lifts up so you can see the wiring harness to disconnect. I pulled it out and removed the 2 screws to open it up. There i

s 2 screws holding the solenoid in place and one ground wire. This was an easy fix and I know I saved a lot of money.

Ice maker was not working
Simple three steps... 1) There's an front section to the ice-maker to take off. One Phillips screw is on the side, one screw is underneath near the inside of the refrigerator wall. Just unscrew and store. 2) There's a small plastic unit just inside the ice maker to take out. It's held in by a small nut that requires about a 4" extension

to reach. (You may be able to unscrew the nut with small needle-nose pliers). Just unscrew and take out the unit - the unit functions just to keep the ice maker wiring in place. 3) The wiring looks a mess, but there's just one wiring connector to the ice maker assembly. Unsnap it. The ice maker is not screwed in, it just slides in -- reach in and pull the assembly straight out; when it stops, lower it a bit and it will come free. Reverse the instructions to install the new unit.

My fridge temp was warm. Freezer temp was ok, but fluctuated some.
I checked the dampener, it worked. The compressor and fan worked. I knew because my freezer was still hovering around 10 degrees. Coils were clean. Thermistor was the only thing it could be. Took all my shelves out. Removed four screws. Took the back panel off. The thermistor sits tucked in on the side. I piped it out, in clipped it. Used

my multimeter to test the numbers. Numbers were off just a bit. Ordered the part. Crossed my fingers.,took less then 5 minutes to put the part in. Plugged in the fridge. It was sitting at 33 degrees in about an hour and a half. I can’t believe I fixed it. I knew NOTHING about refrigerators. For how big my fridge is, it would have cost 3,000 and up to get a new one with the same cu ft size. Instead, it cost me $44. That includes shipping. Thank you Parts Select!! Made it so easy to pick the correct part for my model fridge!
