Hello Tommy, thank you for writing in. The loud Pop was most likely one or both of the Elements popping. You will need to test each one with a multimeter. The Top Broil element is part PS453603. The Bottom Bake Element is part PS978772. To Test for continuity, see the video attached. Hope this helps, good luck with this repair.

Hi Tommy,
Thank you for your question. Sometimes it is normal to hear a popping sound coming from a range. The popping sound you hear may be the result of the metal or porcelain in the range heating and cooling. Sometimes this sound is related to an electrical issue, but if you have checked all of these parts and they are working correctly, then it could have been the metal in the range either heating up or cooling down. If you have any questions, please let us know. We look forward to hearing from you!

For model number FEB24S2ABB
Hello Catherine, thank you for your question. There is a thermostat that might have failed. The part number is THERMOSTAT PartSelect Number: PS725604. If that part is tested or replaced and doesn't fix the issue the main control board would have to be replaced. I hope this helps.
