Drip Bowl - 6"

This drip bowl is used for electric cooktops and ranges, it is designed to sit under a six-inch surface burner. It catches the drips and spills coming from the cookware on the surface burner. This drip bowl is chrome, and it has a diameter of 7 2/3 inches. You need to remove the burner element to replace this part. Line the hole up with the element terminal blocks, and ensure the new bowl is flush with the surface of the cooktop before replacing the burner element. Drip bowls need to be replaced when they are lost, damaged, or you are no longer able to clean them adequately. This replacement part is sold individually.

Surface Burner - 8" - 2600W

The surface burner or element on your range provides the heat that you cook with. If your element will not heat, you may need to replace the surface burner. This surface burner is 8 inches in diameter and 2600 watts. The burner element is made of metal and has two prongs that connect it to the range. The manufacturer recommends you replace the burner receptacle at the same time that you replace the surface burner. Many of our customers have rated this repair as very easy. To complete the repair simply lift the old burner up and out, and replace it with the new one. Be sure to disconnect power to the range before beginning this repair.

Temperature Sensor

This temperature sensor is used to measure the inside temperature of a self-cleaning oven. Its 1000-ohm resistance increases with temperature. The sensor has male leads, is 6 inches in length, and comes with 2 ceramic wire nuts. Fault temperature sensors are often responsible for F3 and F4 error messages on an electric range. Furthermore, if you find your oven is too hot, will not heat evenly, or simply will not heat at all, there could be an issue with your temperature sensor and you should look to replace it immediately.

Two screws remove the front of the sensor (put a pan under the sensor to catch the screws), One nut removes the rear cover to access the rear of the sensor. One screw holds the block onto the stove top. Had to clean out fitting for phillips screwdriver or screw would have stripped because it was old with lots of buildup. Even cleaned out, this screw required great force with phillips screwdriver to keep from stripping. Caution! If you strip it, you'll have to drill it out! The rest was a snap. I unplugged the stove from the outlet, then removed the two burners I was going to be working on and the drip pans. Then I raised the top part of the stove and removed the screws holding the plug-in blocks to the stove.
