Large buildup of clear ice in floor of freezer compartment
For model number EV250NXRQ03
Hello George, thank you for reaching out. Ice formation on the freezer floor is usually because of warm, humid air entering the freezer compartment, particularly if the door is not sealing properly when closed. We would recommend checking the freezer door gasket to solve the problem. Also, check the defrost drain. If it gets blocked by ice or debris, the condensation can't escape and freezes, which leads to a buildup of ice on the freezer's floor. To remove this, you can use a steamer to melt and flush the ice out. We hope this information helps.
I used a flat-head screwdriver to pop out the old light rocker switch. Then, I unplugged the wires, plugged them into the new light rocker switch, and then popped the new switch into the hole. That's it! Lights began working again.
An easy job for smaller hands. Removed the two bolts holding the light cover. Removed two electrical connections from the old switch by pinching the retaining clip,removed the switch, snapped in the new one and re-attached the connectors. Once I saw the replacement part I understood how to pry out the switch with a small screwdriver. Then just unplug the old one, plug in the new one and pop it into place.
