Part #DE81-04971A
An oven that suddenly stops heating may have an open high-limit switch. This safety device monitors heat near key electrical parts and interrupts power if the temperature reaches its set limit. Its 220?F rating must match the appliance design. A tripped or failed switch can prevent normal operation, but it should not be replaced without checking why the area became too hot. Inspect the cooling fan, vents, wiring, connectors, and control system first. Turn off the circuit breaker and confirm that no power is present before service. Let all surfaces cool, transfer the wires carefully, and install the switch in its original position.

  • Brandon from Atlanta, GA
  • Really Easy

  • Nutdriver
A foil oven liner was accidentally placed on the bake glass which covers the heating element. This is a very simple repair with the correct size allen wrench. Unscrew the screws to the liner holding the bake glass in place, take out the old bake glass, put in the new one and screw the liner back in place.
