This metal oven rack provides a stable, level surface for bakeware and cookware inside select 30-inch ranges and wall ovens. It can replace a rack that is bent, warped, rusted, damaged, or missing. Installation is completed by sliding the rack onto the existing oven guides and does not require tools. Confirm the rack size and appliance fit before ordering, since oven width alone does not guarantee compatibility.

An oven that suddenly stops heating may have an open high-limit switch. This safety device monitors heat near key electrical parts and interrupts power if the temperature reaches its set limit. Its 220?F rating must match the appliance design. A tripped or failed switch can prevent normal operation, but it should not be replaced without checking why the area became too hot. Inspect the cooling fan, vents, wiring, connectors, and control system first. Turn off the circuit breaker and confirm that no power is present before service. Let all surfaces cool, transfer the wires carefully, and install the switch in its original position.

Larry - For model number EORD230SCH
December 5, 2024
the oven goes above the set temp after about half hour and goes into error code U20 are they a high temp switch or probe I can change?
Chris Boyle Profile
Hi Larry, Thank you for your question. If the oven is not heating correctly, the issue may be with the oven temperature sensor. The oven temperature sensor monitors the oven temperature and signals the electronic control board to turn the elements on and off. Before removing this part from the oven and testing it for continuity with a multimeter on the Rx1 setting, unplug the oven from the electrical outlet. This test needs to be done with the sensor at room temperature to produce accurate results. The reading should be between 1080 and 1100 ohms. If you get any other reading, you need a replacement temperature sensor. If the sensor is fine, a relay on the electronic control board is bad and it will need to be replaced. We hope this helps with the repair!
