Just replaced ice maker and evaporator fan motor. Today there is ice at bottom of freezer at base of coils and drain. Do you think I need the defrost thermostat? Thanks for your help

Hello Kathy, Thank you for the question. We suggest testing the Defrost Thermostat with a Multimeter. The best way to do this is to remove the thermostat from the refrigerator so you can control the temperature of the sensor. You can let the sensor warm up to room temperature. With the sensor warmed up to room temperature the sensor should read approximately 6.2K Ohms at 68°F. With the thermistor submerged is a glass full of ice water, the sensor should be very close to 32°F which should read approximately 16.3K Ohms. If the values that you are getting are far off from these readings, then the sensor is bad and should be replaced. We hope this helps!

In the crisper drawers it was always lite. Now it is not. I cannot see where there would be a place for a replacement bulb. How did the light in the crispers work? Silly questions but my fridge is so dark now!

One of my door bins and filter cap broke.
I searched the model number for my Whirlpool refrigerator on the internet and partselect.com came up so I clicked on it. The site asked for my model number which I typed in and there it was...a picture of my refrigerator in full detail and very well diagramed and labeled. I found the number of the parts I needed, added them to my cart and paid. In a few days (2 I think which is an awsome delivery time) the parts were iin my front door step, very well packaged and in imaculate condition. I took them out of the box and installed them in less than 15 minutes. A parts internet order and repair has NEVER gone as quick and easy as this did. Thankyou Partselect for an awsome job and awsome website and even more awsome delivery time. Very happy and impressed with your service. Keep up the outstanding work!!!!!!
