Ice maker dripping water after making one batch of ice. Had been on all day, appears to not be getting water to trays all the time
For model number ED2KHAXVB01
Hi Russell, thank you for reaching out. According to our research, we recommend checking the water filter, part number PS11722128. If this is clogged or bad, replace it. If this does not solve your problem, we suggest inspecting the filter's inlet water tube, part number PS886401. Clean the tube, and if it is bad or broken, replace it. If the issue remains, you may need to replace the water inlet valve, part number PS11723179. If these parts are fine, most likely the ice maker assembly, part number PS11749917, is faulty. You may need to replace this part to fix the issue. We hope this information helps!
Hi Jane, thank you for contacting us. Based on the description that you have provided, we would recommend making sure that the defrost drain is not clogged or frozen. If the defrost drain is frozen, the water will overflow the drain trough and drip down to the bottom of the compartment and freeze up. Check the defrost drain to determine if it is clogged or frozen. If the defrost drain is frozen, thaw the ice. In addition, flush the drain with hot water to ensure that it is clear of debris. If that does not solve the issue, then you may need to check the defrost heater, part number PS11750673, as it is most likely faulty and may need to be replaced. We hope this solves your problem!
