The bake element in your oven provides the heat that you cook with. If you discover that your oven is not heating up enough, not heating at all, or heating unevenly, you might have to replace the bake element. This bake element is 30 inches in size. Before completing this repair, ensure that the power source is disconnected from the oven. To complete this repair, simply disconnect the old bake element from the oven, and replace it with the new burner. This is an OEM part sourced directly from the manufacturer.

Russ - For model number ECS130
December 1, 2022
The lower element doesn't get hot. It passed continuity and both 110 legs are hot (checked the service box behind the oven). When "bake" is pressed the fan comes on as if I pressed "convection". The upper element is working. Any ideas on what I should attempt next?
Chris Boyle Profile
Hi Russ, thank you for reaching out. If the lower element is good and not causing the issue, then the most likely issue is with the temperature sensor, part number PS16556806. We hope this information helps! If you need help placing an order, customer service is open 7 days a week. Thanks again for your great question.

didn't know if this was going to fix it, but i ordered a bake element anyway from a very frendly and knowledgeable lady in nova scotia whom i couldn't talk into coming down here to install it for me, but when the element arrived, i removed the oven door and removed the two grates, removed 2 screws from the element in the back of the oven and pulled out the element. then hooked up the 2 wires to the new element and then had a slight problem getting the 2 screws reassembled, but got it done. pam prayed, and then baked some bread and it worked perfectly. i'm quite satisfied with one more problem solved!!! ready for the next one!!!

Purchased a screw extractor set from the local Ace Hardware (SpeedOut). Be sure and carefully follow the screw extractor instructions as written (counterclockwise turn). Removed old screws and replaced them with new screws supplied by PartSelect.
