Cap Assembly- Noise Suppressor

The noise suppressor cap assembly, also known as the spark plug cap/boot is responsible for connecting the spark plug to the ignition coil, and helping to reduce the amount of noise created when running outdoor power equipment. This OEM replacement part includes a rubber cap with a metal contact inside. It is found at the end of the spark plug wire and has a threaded center shaft which allows you to easily screw it into position. Over time the metal contact may corrode, or the cap may dry out and crack or break. If your equipment is misfiring, running poorly, or has interference with other electronic equipment, the cap assembly likely needs to be replaced. To remove the old cap assembly, use your fingers or a set of pliers to carefully pull it off the end of the wire. Place the new cap assembly onto the end of the wire and fasten it securely. Please note this part is sold individually.

Inspect all the bolts on your equipment as you may need more than one. If you note that any of them are deformed, corroded or the threads are worn down, you will need to replace them as each bolt is sold individually. Remove the damaged bolt and thread the new one on with your hands before tightening with a wrench.
