Hello Rafael, thank you for getting in touch. Yes, the model number you have mentioned is a rechargeable unit that contains a built-in rechargeable battery. It does not require separate, disposable batteries. It is necessary to recharge batteries for about 15 hours to permit them work at full power. When batteries are completely charged, the appliance is able to grate aproximately 1000 grams of cheese. To start the battery recharge, plug the charging unit in and place this appliance into the recharge base. The light will turn on, meaning that batteries are being recharged. We hope this helps.
