Part #308042002
This spool retainer is sourced from the equipment manufacturer for use in trimmers. It is a plastic knob, measuring 2 inches in diameter, with a threaded metal bolt in the center. The retainer has a right hand thread, and it is used to secure the spool within the trimmer head to prevent it from coming loose during operation. The retainer engages with the trimmer head to lock the spool in place, while it also advances the cutting line for greater cutting efficiency. If the threads on the retainer bolt wear out or the plastic body becomes damaged, the retainer will be unable to engage with the trimmer head, causing the line to tangle, the spool to come loose, and lowering the cutting performance of the trimmer. Remove the trimmer head cover and detach the retainer from the assembly. Position the new spool retainer in the assembly and thread it firmly into place.
Grass Deflector Assembly – Part Number: T308744001
No Longer Available
Grass Deflector Assembly
Part #T308744001
This grass deflector acts like a shield so that grass clippings are directed away from you and the surrounding areas while you are operating your trimmer. It is often located near the bottom of your trimmer, close to the cutting head. This assembly also includes the line cutting blade, which maintains the proper length of the trimmer line. If the assembly is cracked, bent, or missing, grass clippings may fly in unintended directions. This can be dangerous if your trimmer throws debris towards you or others nearby, so it is important to replace the damaged deflector. To replace the assembly, you will need a screwdriver to remove the flat washer, wing nut and, the hex screw from the grass deflector. Please be aware that this OEM grass deflector is sold individually.

If the air filter is clogged or damaged, it should be replaced to avoid reduced engine performance, increased fuel consumption, and potential engine damage.
