Connecting Rod – Part Number: U1106

Connecting Rod
Part #U1106
This is a genuine replacement part which is sourced directly from the original equipment manufacturer for Rolair pumps. The connecting rod is connected to the crankshaft to move the piston within the cylinder. Lack of oil will allow the rings to contact the cylinder, causing scoring, and eventually, seizure of the engine. Dirt in the cylinder will act like sandpaper, quickly wearing away the piston rings. Using old or stale fuel will cause varnish build-up, which will eventually 'glue' the rings to the piston. Because the rings seal against the cylinder, any of these conditions will often damage the cylinder. As such, whenever you are investigating with a piston ring problem, you should also carefully inspect the cylinder for damage. You may require pliers and a screwdriver or wrench when replacing this item. This high-quality item is made of durable metal and is sold individually.
