Ice Maker

This is a replacement ice maker kit, it is used in the freezer section of your refrigerator. This particular model will produce seven round or crescent shaped cubes every cycle. The ideal temperature of a freezer is zero degrees Fahrenheit. If the temperature in your freezer is at an appropriate level and ice is still not being made it could be an issue with the water inlet valve or your ice maker assembly. If you determine it is the ice maker, this is the replacement you need. This kit includes a set of installation instructions, a 4-pin round plug-in connector, 6 post plug-in connector, tube and fill cup. Before you start this repair, you should shut off the water supply and unplug your appliance. Please note, when you have installed your new ice maker it can take up to 24 hours for it to begin producing ice.

First of all, the larger white plastic tubes in this thing are 5/16" OD, which no plumbing store seems to stock. At the lower left rear end there are 2 tubes, one for water and one for ice, that are doomed to fail being in proximity of a heat source - they essentially get cooked to the point of becoming brittle and cracking. First I took a beer out and opened it then took a sip. Then I went into my garage and searched for my Black and Decker power drill with a phililps head on it. Failure to locate a phillips head bit i took another sip of beer and took out one of those old fashion screw drivers. I first shut off water flow to the fridge.
