Frigidaire Gallery self cleaning oven, broiler, light, timer isn't working, what should I check first? Thank you
Chris Boyle Profile
Hello Pat, thank you for contacting us. You need to make sure your oven is getting the proper voltage. Check the incoming voltage. Electric ranges require 240 volts of alternating current. Turn on one of the surface elements. If any of the surface elements are working, the oven has power. If the oven does not have power, check for a tripped circuit breaker or blown fuses and correct as needed. Also, check for loose wire connections. If the problem continues, replace the oven control board, part number PS12074908. We hope this is what you were looking for!

F11 CODE WHICH CANNOT BE CLEARED.
Chris Boyle Profile
Hello Greg, thanks for contacting us! F11 is a shorted key error. It usually means a key on the keypad has been pressed for a long time or has become stuck. It could be that your Overlay has a stuck button which is pushing down on the control board behind it, or the control board button itself is stuck down after being pushed to use the range. Often there is a ribbon wire that connects these two parts, which should also be inspected and replaced if it is damaged. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

I called a repair place. They charged $54 to diagnose, (said it needed a new latch motor) then wanted $220 to complete the repair. I checked online prices and did it myself for about 15 minutes work and the latch motor itself ($44?).

Was necessary to uplug the range, pull it away from the wall and remove the back panel sheet m etal, then 3 screws that mount the motor. Replace motor, reattach sheet metal. Plug in. Done. Ready to bake cookies.

First we removed two screws under the rim of the range top to open the lid. Lifted the lid and removed the screws from the bracket that holds the elements, Be careful with the clips that hold the element in, if you break them or bend them there aren't any more! Also note which holes they were in, they are marked according to the differ ent sizes of elements. Disconnected the wires, needed needlenose pliers to grip them...connected new element, popped it back in place, replaced bracket, closed top ...Easy peasy!!!
