Part #WP285655
The hose clamp is used to hold the water hose in place which will prevent the hose from leaking water. Sometimes the clamp may lose its ability to latch on, causing a leaking washer. For the installation, you will need a flat head screw driver to replace the clamp and a drill to access the screws to remove the front of the washer. Be careful if you do not have specific clamp pliers as the clamp could fly off. Once the front of the washer has been removed, take a quick look for water damage or any obvious signs of where the leak is coming from. If it is not obvious, run water to test.

The unit gets bad out of balance when it is spinning. It slams the unit up against the wall and has "walked" it out in the middle of the floor. I found pieces of broken white plastic under the machine.

I have already replaced the lid lock switch mechanism, twice. The problem still persists. The unit will fill then then attempt to lock the lid. It stops with the lid lock light blinking. What else could be wrong? I need a solution as i am now at the point of not wanting to put any more money into this machine. I hate to do that b/c it is in great condition. What could i be missing?
Chris Boyle Profile
Hello Kevin and thanks for writing. Lid latch # PS3497627 is that the one you installed? Lid strike # PS11750882 You should try a hard reset first. Go to your breaker box, turn the breaker for your unit off, wait 5 minutes and turn the breaker back on. We hope this helps. Please contact us anytime.

I have left the machine unplugged all night, no help. I have not replaced the lid strike as it does not appear to be damaged. I don't understand how a magnet inside of plastic could fail. Is there anything else that could keep the lid from locking?
Chris Boyle Profile
Hello Kevin, thank you for your question. The only two parts that could cause the lid to not lock would be the lock strike and the lock itself. If the lock was not replaced, we would recommend replacing Part #: PS3497627. I hope this helps!

Lid Lock light blinking, machine will not start

A detailed Service Technician Service Manual is hidden inside the machine on the front panel. It is hidden by the bleach dispenser input. It gives a list of fault codes and instructions for calibration after repair, resetting fault codes, and a manual test mode for stepping the machine through each mode on command. The Tachometer faile d which would not let the machine come up to maximum spin speed. The tachometer is part of the solenoid actuator that shifts the transmission. It is not specifically called out in the manual. Any failure causes the lid lock light to blink which gives the appearance of a lid lock failure

The instructions that came with the part were worthless. Essentially, unplug, put in new part, plug it back in. I spent a considerable amount of time on the internet and finally found a video showing how to open the top. Unlike other models, it is held down by clamps in the back rather than clips in the front. Once finding this inform ation the installation was simple. Remove the clamps and the back of the console, slide the top forward and lift, remove and replace the lock and reassemble. You don't even have to remove the hoses.
