This outdoor DC motor assembly is a genuine replacement component designed for use in air conditioning and heat pump systems. It powers the outdoor fan, which circulates air across the condenser coils to support efficient cooling and heating. By converting electrical energy into rotational motion, the motor helps regulate airflow and maintain consistent temperature control. A failing motor may cause symptoms such as reduced airflow, unusual noise, vibration, or a humming sound without rotation. Replacing the motor can restore proper operation, improve energy efficiency, and reduce noise. Installation should be performed with the power disconnected to ensure safety. This part is compatible with select models and should be verified for fit before installation.

Main problem was removing the cowling from the LG head unit as I had no instructions on how to do it. I had watched the previous technicians that had worked on the unit remove it. Once the cowling is removed all that needs done is remove the 2 mounting screws and unplug the old motor, plug in the new motor and remount it with the 2 screws . Then the cowling has to be reinstalled.
