Peter - For model number APEL70LWQ1

compressor starts, gets hot, but water not collecting in bucket. Thoughts?
Chris Boyle Profile
Hello Peter, thank you for contacting us. We would recommend replacing the filter assembly, part number PS12172022. A clogged filter can affect the process of dehumidification. If this does not sort out the problem the issue is probably because of the float, part number, PS12172020. It detects the level of water in the reservoir tank and will automatically stop the Dehumidifier when the tank becomes full. We look forward to hearing from you if you need assistance with placing an order through our 7-days-a-week customer service. We hope this helps!

John - For model number APEL70LWQ1
June 14, 2026
After about 7 years, it's stopped dehumidifying. I use the hose, not the bucket. The hose isn't clogged; I took it off & ran water thru it. The dehumidifier runs & blows nice cold air but NO water is coming out of the hose. HELP!!
Chris Boyle Profile
Hi John, thank you for reaching out. Remove the hose, insert the bucket, and let the unit run for 2 to 3 hours. If the bucket collects water, your compressor and cooling loops are completely fine, meaning the issue is purely a drainage alignment or height problem with your hose setup. Hose drainage relies entirely on gravity. If the hose has a slight upward kink, a loop, or is resting on a high lip at the floor drain, water will back up into the machine. You may need to set it properly to fix the issue. We hope this solves your problem!
