when using the heat function and the fan in the auto mode the fan cycle on and off as expected. But when using the cooling function and the fan in auto mode the fan does not shut off when it gets to set temperature. The ac compressor turns on and off as normal. so basically the fan runs all the time no matter what the set temperature is. Any ideas what I should replace ?

My heater stop working on my unit what part I need
Chris Boyle Profile
Hello Tim, thank you for reaching out. The most likely part you’ll need to replace is the electric heater assembly, part number PS8757483. Before replacing it, check for continuity in the heater element and inspect the thermal fuse or overheat protector, as well as ensure the control board is sending power to the heater circuit. If those components test fine and the unit still doesn’t produce heat, replacing the heater assembly should resolve the issue. We hope this solves your problem!

ALL FUNCTIONS ON TOUCH CONTROL PAD WORKED EXCEPT TEMP UP & DOWN
22 of 45 people found this instruction helpful.
  • Lori from COLUMBUS, OH
  • Very Easy
  • Less than 15 mins
After calling other parts supply companies with not much help, I found a helpful representative at Parts Select. My unit is very old & not many parts are available, so I asked the rep if she thought just buying a remote control would solve the issue since it was obvious that the whole panel was not broken or unusable. She was not sure b ut said she would allow me to return it if it didn't. She sent the remote control out that day, I had it in 2 days. Not only did it totally solve the problem, it saved me a lot of money. Though these companies are not allowed to give technical advice, she was very helpful, friendly & efficient.
