Unit has a display board PS12171789 and a Main board PS12171792. The temperature (-) button does not decrease temp but the temp (+) button works. I am getting error code F4 repeatedly after proper reset. Would you know which board needs replacing?

Terry - For model number AHE12DXL1

My ac works, my heat works on auto but the fan never shuts off.
Chris Boyle Profile
Hello Terry, thank you for contacting us. First confirm the unit is set to Energy Saver mode. With Energy Saver on the fan cycles on and off together with the heater or compressor. With Energy Saver off, the fan runs continuously even while the heating or cooling element cycles. Also, check that the fan speed is set to Auto rather than a manually selected speed such as Low, Med, or High. A manually selected fan speed will run the fan constantly regardless of the thermostat cycle. If the fan continues running even after switching to Energy Saver and Auto Fan, try unplugging the unit for 5 minutes to reset the control board. If the fan immediately turns on at high speed the moment you plug it back in before even powering the unit on, the fan relay on the control board has failed in the closed position and is continuously supplying power to the fan motor regardless of commands. You will need to replace the main board, part number PS12171792, to fix the issue. Glad to be of assistance!
