My ac runs constantly. The control panel acts frozen - no buttons work . I unplugged it for 30 minutes and started it back up and everything worked but after approximately 10 minutes I heard beeping. The panel was lit up and the temperature set went form the 70 I set down to 64. Then the panel froze again and it constantly runs even when the room got down to 62 which is below the 64 setting. What part needs replacing?
For model number AHC18DYL1
Hello Lisa, Thank you for the question. One common reasons an air conditioner runs constantly is restricted airflow and the Filter will need to be cleaned along with the coils. If this did not fix the issue, the Display Board will need to be replaced. We hope this helps!

ALL FUNCTIONS ON TOUCH CONTROL PAD WORKED EXCEPT TEMP UP & DOWN
After calling other parts supply companies with not much help, I found a helpful representative at Parts Select. My unit is very old & not many parts are available, so I asked the rep if she thought just buying a remote control would solve the issue since it was obvious that the whole panel was not broken or unusable. ut said she would allow me to return it if it didn't. She sent the remote control out that day, I had it in 2 days. Not only did it totally solve the problem, it saved me a lot of money. Though these companies are not allowed to give technical advice, she was very helpful, friendly & efficient.
