Room comfort is easier to manage when the air-conditioner remote responds correctly. Worn buttons, battery corrosion, or a damaged case may prevent commands from reaching the unit. Test the air conditioners built-in controls first to rule out a problem with the appliance. Match the replacement remote to the full model number because similar units may use different signals. Fit new batteries of the specified type, point the remote toward the receiver, and remove the batteries if it will be stored for a long time.

The existing filter had not been cleaned regularly for about three (3) years, so it needed to be replaced.

  • Joel from Waynesboro, PA
  • Really Easy
  • 30 - 60 mins
  • Pliers, Screw drivers
I used a screw driver and pliers to remove the existing filter. Before installing the new filter, I vacuumed the front grill as well as the metal cooling coils to remove any dust or dirt. I then istalled the new filter by pushing it into the space in front of the metal cooling coils. No tools were required. I then replaced the front gr ill.

I just wanted a extra filter for the air conditioner so I could clean it and not have to wait for it to dry in the heat of the day
