Fan blade was broken
4 of 4 people found this instruction helpful.
  • Jonathan from Baltimore, MD
  • A Bit Difficult
  • 1- 2 hours
  • Pliers, Screw drivers
Took cabinet off. Loosened rear condenser and moved it out of the way. Took fan blade off of motor shaft and replaced. Actually broke off small part of blade hub tapping it on to the shaft with a hammer - use a block of wood to protect!

Broken fan blade
  • Dennis from VALLEY SPRINGS, SD
  • Easy
  • 15 - 30 mins
  • Pliers, Screw drivers
Removed 10 screws holding fan schroud, top brace, and condenser. Remove schroud from condenser and push back toward fan motor. Pull condenser gently away from fan far enough to remove spring clip from old fan with pliers. Tap on old fan blade hub lightly until it comes off. (Important) Make sure you line up flat side of motor shaft wi th flat side new fan hub. When lined up tap back on and assemble in reverse order. Took 15 mins to replace and 15 mins to clean condenser.
