The machine runs and you can hear the pump try to start but the cold air never comes
For model number AEL24DQL1
Hello Keith, Thank you for the question. If the air filter or coils are dirty or clogged, there may be little or no air flow over the evaporator coils and cause the unit not to cool. We hope this helps!

After calling other parts supply companies with not much help, I found a helpful representative at Parts Select. My unit is very old & not many parts are available, so I asked the rep if she thought just buying a remote control would solve the issue since it was obvious that the whole panel was not broken or unusable. ... Read moreut said she would allow me to return it if it didn't. She sent the remote control out that day, I had it in 2 days. Not only did it totally solve the problem, it saved me a lot of money. Though these companies are not allowed to give technical advice, she was very helpful, friendly & efficient.
