Dryer heats sometimes at high heat setting but doesn't work on other settings. Turn the knob a few times and it may heat. All thermostats were changed so i think it is the timer. Is this very common?
    For model number AED4475TQ1
Hello Frank, thank you for your question. Yes, if the unit is not heating all the time, the issue could be with the timer. If the element was tested, and the thermostats were replaced the timer would be the next part we would recommend replacing. I hope this helps.

Dryer runs as soon as you select the drying option. I do not have to push the start button.Door switch and start switch are working correctly, but when the door is opened it still runs it does not shut off, it only shuts off when the timer runs out. what do you think the issue is?
    For model number AED4475TQ1
Hi Tony, Thank you for your question. If your dryer is not shutting off, there are some parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. You should recheck the start switch, and also check the cycling thermostat, the thermal cut-off, the high limit thermostat, the belt and the timer. We hope this helps! Good luck with the repair!

      No Heat
First tried heating element and thermal fuse with no luck. Ordered thermal cutoff and fixed problem. Had I used an ohm meter first I would have determined problem before having ordered heating element and fuse, as both had resistance. I wast just lazy and ordered the took the most common failed components first before taking dryer back off.

Dryer would take forever to dry clothes, even on high setting
I ordered all the thermal sensors for the dryer. They arrived two days later and they were the correct parts. It took me about 1/2 hour to replace all three sensors and now the dryer works like new again. My wife was very pleased, so was I.
