It does not blow warm air and i have to smack the side of the cabinet to get it to start. It beebs then starts back up. Should i take it apart and check the connections. It's about 2 yrs old.

Unit runs fine for about 45-50mins. Then shuts off compressor and fan regardless of humidity level setting. Unit still has power and no settings change. ‘empty’ light is off. Unit can sit all day but will not run again until unplugged and plugged back in.

Hi Jesse, thank you for your inquiry. According to the issue description, the unit is experiencing a safety shutdown due to overheating. The coils could be frozen due to dirty filter, preventing air from reaching it, causing the compressor overheating issues. Clean or replace the filter, part number PS12172021. Remove the casing, and look at the coils. If they are covered in ice, you must let them defrost completely. Ensure the unit is at least 12-18 inches away from walls and furniture to allow for proper air intake. Glad to be of help!
