A zip tie, also known as a cable tie or a wire tie, is a fastening device that holds wires or tubing together. If a machine has wires or tubing that are easily shifted, you need to hold them tightly together using a zip tie. It is a flexible, plastic strip that has serrated teeth and a locking mechanism. If the zip tie is damaged, it shou...Read moreld be replaced. Freely moving wires may rub against surfaces, causing them to break over time. Zip ties are single-use and may not be reused after they are removed from a machine. To release the locking mechanism, you will need to insert a small flat tool into the head of the zip tie, between the tongue and the serration, and depress the bar. You can then pull the teeth out of the mechanism to loosen the cable tie. This part is produced by the original equipment manufacturer and is sold individually.

Russell - For model number AD50USS0
March 10, 2020
I have owned this unit for ten years, it’s been a great machine but just noticed lately that it is not fully functioning. The fan comes on and I can hear relays click but no pump or condenser noise anymore. Hopefully I can get some insight to this problem without having to purchase a new dehumidifier.
Hello Russell, Thank you for the question. We suggest testing the Capacitor, PartSelect Number PS11738454 and the Compressor, PartSelect Number: PS993071. To test the compressor start by discharging the capacitor and disconnecting the wire to the compressor. You would want to test the compressor pins for resistance, they should read equal resistance across all of the pins when tested together. If they read equally, then the capacitor may need to be replaced. We hope this helps.
I "inherited" this dehumidifier when I bought a house. Why does this model have a hose attached?
Hello Gerald, thank you for getting in touch. According to our research, a garden water hose is an optional part and it can be connected to a drain port on a dehumidifier so that it will automatically empty into a floor drain as water is collected. We hope this information is useful!

I was directed to a website where I could put in the model # of the appliancew and then was able to view pictures of repair parts. I was able to view the actual caster and determine that I was ordering the right one. The part ca
