Part #4681A20172Q
This DC motor assembly is a genuine replacement component designed for the outdoor unit of select LG ductless and window air conditioners. It powers the fan responsible for circulating air over the condensing coil, a critical function that supports cooling efficiency and overall system performance. By converting electrical energy into mechanical motion, the motor helps maintain proper airflow and temperature regulation. If your air conditioner is not blowing cold air or fails to turn on, a faulty motor may be the cause. Installation should be performed with the power disconnected to ensure safety. This OEM part is engineered for a precise fit and reliable operation, but users should verify compatibility with their specific model before installation due to variations in size and design.

Squealing fan motor outside unit minisplit

First let me say that I was searching for a fan motor for my Friedrich minisplit. Friedrich and their main parts supplier said the part is unavailable with no alternative part. I was searching by the condenser model number only ( MR36Y3J ) and found the exact same unit from LG. The parts diagrams were identical and Partselect had the exac t part I needed. It fit perfectly and now not only is my unit quiet, I’m not forced to replace the whole mini split system. $200 and an hour of my time versus $8k.

The installation was a piece of cake, and I have never opened any hvac equipment previously. Disconnected power, opened it up, verified the part and replaced it after cleaning up the unit with a shop vac. A fan motor is not a complicated part but they come in specific sizes, duty cycles, wiring. It was literally a few screws to open the case, a fan blade bolt, and 3 bolts on the motor. The wire connection was exact and easy to route to the main logic board.

$7800 saved.
