In Stock
Shear Bolt Service Assembly
Part #51001500
This OEM-verified shear bolt, measuring 2-1/8 inches in length and 5/16 inches in diameter, is designed to break under excessive force to protect your lawn equipment by absorbing the impact. Specifically, it allows the augers of your machine to stop while the shaft and gear case continue to rotate. To check if the shear bolt is broken, inspect it for fractures or missing pieces. You might notice that the shaft of your machine is rotating normally but the augers are not moving with it. It is important to address a damaged shear bolt promptly to avoid costly repairs or equipment failure. To remove the shear bolt from your machine, use a wrench or socket to turn it counterclockwise. As this replacement part is sold individually, it is strongly recommended that you keep spare bolts on hand in the event that they break.

This flange split bushing is a genuine OEM part used to add stability and reduce friction damage between rotating parts, such as drive shafts and gears, in a variety of outdoor power equipment. The bushing has an outside diameter of 1 1/3 inches and an inner diameter of 1 inch, as well as a flange on one end which prevents the bushing from moving during use. It is made of nylon which is a type of material known for its resistance to wear, and ability to self-lubricate. The bushing is split along its length, for easy removal and installation. The bearing may become damaged if it is inadequately lubricated, or from continuous exposure to heat and chemicals. If you notice that your equipment is excessively noisy, shaking, and difficult to maneuver, you will need to replace the bushing promptly to prevent damage to the equipment. Remove the fasteners that secure the bushing and use a bearing puller to detach the old bushing. Place the new bushing in position and secure it in place.

Depending on the model and make of your machine, this bushing can be found in various parts of your machine, such as pivot points, axles, and spindles. A damaged bushing causes increased friction, misalignment, and grinding or squeaking noises. Your machine may need expensive repairs and may eventually fail if you do not replace a broken bushing. To remove an existing bushing, you need to remove components that provide access to the flange bearing. Consult your user manual if needed. Locate the bearing and use a screwdriver or wrench to remove any clips, screws, or bolts securing it. Use a bearing puller tool or a mallet to pull or tap the bearing out of your machine if necessary. Please note that the bushing is sold individually.
