Assembly, Holder, Brush – Part Number: 66386GS

Assembly, Holder, Brush
Part #66386GS
The brush holder assembly in your generator keeps the brushes in place, allowing them to touch the rotor. It consists of a plastic brush holder and two carbon brushes with lead wires and attached springs. You can usually find the holder assembly inside the generator housing, near the rotor and stator assembly. If the holder assembly is broken, it can cause improper electrical contact between the brushes and the rotor, leading to a loss of electrical current transfer. Additionally, over time, the brushes will wear down from use, resulting in inconsistent contact with the rotor. Look for visible signs of damage like cracks, breaks, or deformations in the holder. A damaged holder can cause unstable voltage, power surges, or your generator failing to generate electricity altogether. To remove the existing brush holder assembly from your generator, refer to your user guide for detailed instructions. It may involve removing a cover or access panel to reach it. Use a nut driver or suitable tool to disconnect the assembly from the rear-bearing carrier and any connected wires. Remember to magnetize the brush assembly and conduct a generator test after installing the new one. Please keep in mind that this authentic OEM part is sold individually.

Part #30727
This paper air cleaner element, also known as an air filter, is sourced from the original manufacturer for use in outdoor power equipment. It has an outer diameter of 4.25 inches and a height of 3 inches. The air filter is responsible for removing dirt and debris from the air before it enters the engine to keep the engine free from contaminants. Over time, it is normal for the paper on the filter to tear or become clogged, thereby restricting airflow, increasing fuel consumption, and damaging the engine. Regularly inspecting and replacing the air filter is critical to maintaining the performance of your engine. To begin this repair, locate the air filter housing near the engine or carburetor and remove the cover. Carefully remove and discard the old filter, making note of its position. Clean the air filter housing and insert a new, clean filter in the correct position. Place the cover back onto the housing and ensure that it is tightly fitted to prevent air leaks.
