This rear flashtube extension is a little over three inches long, including the clips, and is about a 1/2-inch wide. This part is black and is a part for ranges. This part will cut off the flow of gas to your appliance once it reaches a certain pressure.

This burner insert is white in color. It is less than an inch in diameter and well under an inch wide. It is made of plastic and fits directly in between the range's burner and the range's burner valve.

Burner valves are attached to the main gas line. When the switch is turned, the gas then flows into a tube that mixes with air creating the appropriate mixture for ignition.
