Start by disconnecting the mixer from its power source and removing the beater and bowl. Take off the rear cover and unscrew the mounting screws from the trim to remove it. Disconnect the wires on the control plate and pry the end seal from the appliance. Remove the fasteners on the control plate to access the governor, which can be wiggled off the shaft using pliers. old tube burned out

removed the shield and removed the old tube. Replaced with the new tube and replaced the shield. The only place I could locate this tube was through the internet. This Co. had as good a price including shipping that I found.
