My power went out and back on . Now on my Kenmore range the control panel will not light up and I can’t work the oven. The warming drawer works and the oven light works. All of the controls on the top work. Any idea what is wrong? Could I just replace the oven control panel?

Hi Eddie, thank you for your inquiry. Sounds like you have lost half the line. Try flipping the breaker on/off slowly a couple of times. Sometimes you can lose half the line without tripping the breaker. If this does nothing, measure the voltage at the wall receptacle. L1 to L2 should be 240 volts. L1 to Neutral and L2 to Neutral, both should be 120 volts. If it is fine, with the unit still unplugged, check the wires at the unit's terminal strip to make sure none have burned off and they are tight. If it is fine, plug the unit in and check the power at the terminal strip, as you may have a bad line cord. If it is fine, unplug the unit, open up the back and look for loose or burned wires. After all the checks, if the issue still persists, you will need to replace the oven control board, part number PS977489. We hope this solves your problem!

First we removed two screws under the rim of the range top to open the lid. Lifted the lid and removed the screws from the bracket that holds the elements, Be careful with the clips that hold the element in, if you break them or bend them there aren't any more! Also note which holes they were in, they are marked according to the differ
