Part #6912W1Z004B
This is a light bulb and it is a part for your microwave. This bulb uses 30 watts, operates on 125 volts, and is an incandescent lamp. The function of this bulb is to illuminate the surface underneath and inside of your appliance while the door is open, and during a cooking cycle. You will need to replace this part if your door is open and the light is not activated. We recommend that you unplug your microwave and leave it inactive for some time before making this repair. Proceed with caution as the capacitors in a microwave can hold dangerous electrical charges for long periods of time even when the appliance has been unplugged.

Part #1B71961H
This OEM glass cooking tray is a removable glass plate, measuring 13 inches in diameter, that spins inside the microwave during operation. It ensures that heat is evenly distributed in the microwave to properly heat or cook the food. Over time, the heat generated in the microwave can cause the glass to warp and the plastic rollers to wear down. The glass can also crack or shatter accidentally. It is important to replace the glass as soon as it is no longer functioning well to prevent uneven heating and reduce any safety hazards from damaged glass. Carefully pull the old glass cooking tray from the microwave and clean the microwave cavity. Place the new tray onto the rotating mechanism, and properly align it with the rollers. Turn the microwave on and check to see that the tray is rotating freely.

If the exhaust fan on your microwave does not appear to be working, the problem may be with the damper assembly. If the damper does not open and close easily, check for any damage to the bracket, and replace if it is damaged or faulty. This genuine OEM exhaust damper measures approximately 12 inches long by 5 inches wide.

The function of this part is to shut off the microwave if there is a power surge, in order to protect your microwave from damage. You should consider having a service technician install this part as the high-voltage capacitors in a microwave can contain a very harmful electrical charge, even when the microwave is unplugged and has been inactive for some time. The tools that would be needed to complete this installation include a Phillips screwdriver, an insulated screwdriver, and a pair of pliers.

Initial failure of over range microwave Aug 3rd. Control Panel worked but no heat. Took to local LG authoriaed local repair place. They fixed it quickly and we re-installed it. Worked fine for 2 months then had similar failure again. Agaim took to same authorized repairer. They kept unit for 3 months but finally concluded theu could not fix it and suggested we contact LG for a partial refund. When they tested the unit during re-assembly in my presence, there was a blue flash and the fuse blew. Since we had built a custom tile mural back splash around this unit, I brought it home, ordered a number of time delay fuses new capacitor and two new high voltage diodes. However, using my Fluke DMM, I checked the existing capacitor and high voltage diode and they checked OK so I just replaced the time delay fuse. The high voltage transformer leads had 2 possible ways to connect to capacitor and diode. Tried one way, plugged unit in and turned it on, and immediatly blew the fuse. Replaced the fuse and reversed the high voltage transformer connections, amd turned unit pn, and it worked perfectly. Since we had experienced several power failures during the time of the original failure, the repairer concluded that power spikes might be at fault, so I also purchased a TrippLite ISOBAR4ULTRA 3300 Joule surge protector between wall outlet and microwave, and re-installed over range. It has worked perfectly since.
