This is an authentic OEM component from Abu Garcia. The cog wheel is made for use with Ambassadeur fishing reels. The plastic part is fitted onto the main gear, securing the top of the drive shaft ratchet (sx). A screwdriver is needed for the removal and replacement.

This is a manufacturer authorized replacement part used on Abu Garcia reels. Retaining/Lock Rings are designed such that their contact diameter has some interference fit with the groove in which they fit. This creates a fit between the ring and groove. This part is made out of metal and is sold individually. To complete this repair you would need a screwdriver and pliers.
