grill was unable to get up to proper temperature range

I had already replaced the 4 burner tubes and carry over tubes recently and figured the combination valve/hose/regulator must be the problem. After receiving the replacement I proceeded to remove the old one by disconnecting from the propane tank then locating the screws at each control knob and removing them .To disconnect the metal tube behind the main control panel I had to dismantle the shelf from the firebox by removing several screws on each side to enable me to pull out the metal tube . This was a little difficult due to rusty screws. Installation was the reverse of removal. I tested it out afterwards and the grill was easy to light and the flame was blue and at the proper height and warmed up fast.
