Heat Tent
Part #G470-0004-W1A
This stainless-steel heat tent, also referred to as a heat plate, is specifically designed for various gas grills. Heat tents serve the purpose of providing cover for burners, safeguarding them and preventing food residues from direct contact, while ensuring even distribution of heat for consistent grilling. It is crucial to promptly replace rusted or damaged heat tents to prevent grease fires and to achieve proper and uniform food cooking. Heat tents differ from burner tubes as they distribute heat rather than producing flame. This particular heat tent is constructed from durable stainless steel and measures approximately 17 inches in length and 2.5 inches in width. Grill components like heat tents are susceptible to rusting, so it is advisable to protect your grill adequately to extend their lifespan. The heat tent is sold as an individual part and does not include any additional components. During the replacement of your heat tent, it is recommended to inspect other grill parts for rust, corrosion, or damage, in case additional replacements are needed. Replacing all of your heat tents at the same time is generally a good idea, as it is likely they have rusted or become damaged at a similar rate. Replacing the heat tent(s) is a simple process: open the grill while it is turned off, lift out the old heat tent, and place the new heat tent inside.

I replaced the battery on the current Ignitor but it did not resolve the problem. I found the best rice and availability on PartSelect. Shipping was very fast. Once received, I tested it before installation to make sure it worked and it did. Installation was a breeze and I was grilling in no time.
