This curved washer, also known as a wave washer or spring washer, is made of metal and features a curved design that allows for applications in settings where objects being fastened together are also curved or to exert a continuous level of tension. This washer measures approximately 1-inch in outer diameter and 1/3-inch inner-diameter and is compatible with and used on equipment like snowblowers, chainsaws and lawnmowers. This washer is installed between a round fastener or knob to better secure them together and if you notice that where the washer is normally connected is loose or vibrates excessively, this washer likely needs replacing. Depending on your model the replacement process may appear different, but it is just as simple as placing the washer between two things that are connected and securing them tightly.
