the oven igniter would glow but the gas wouldn't turn on

After removing the oven door, floor, and gas-jet diffuser plate, I could see the valve. There was a shield ov er the elec connections, which I removed. I turned off the gas line to the oven and elec power from the wall, then disconnected the valve. The orig valve had a mounting bracket which I swapped to the new valve( the holes lined up perfectly). unplug the oven and pull it away from the wall. looking at the oven from the back, the spark module is at the bottom on the lower left. there is a two piece sheetmetal cover over the area of the spark module. use a phillips head screwdriver to remove five screws and the covers come off. the spark module is the blue cube with four push on wire connectors.... read more

With a little adjustment to the mount the part went in ok. Checked the oven works like new; well better than new. read more
