This milwaukee driver drill has been slowing under load and even smoked a little with only drilling a 1/2 inch hole could it be worn brushes or something else???
For model number 2601-21
Hi James,
Thank you for your question. If your drill is slowing down under load and there was some smoke coming from it, you will need to check the armature, the brushes, the motor, the switches and the holder. We have included a link that you may reference on how to check these parts, https://www.ereplacementparts.com/repair-center/power-tool/cordless-drill/smoke-from-tool/. Also, if it is slowing down, try using a lower speed. Once you have determined the part you need, please feel free to call customer service. We are open 7 days a week and anyone will be happy to assist you. We look forward to hearing from you!
