This 5/16-inch?18 wing nut secures a removable or adjustable part on select lawn and garden equipment. Its winged shape allows it to be tightened and removed by hand. Use the full equipment model number to guarantee the proper fit and location. Check the stud and washer for damaged threads or wear before installation. Start the nut by hand and tighten it firmly, but do not use pliers or overtighten it.
