This burner insert is white in color. It is less than an inch in diameter and well under an inch wide. It is made of plastic and fits directly in between the range's burner and the range's burner valve.
Burner valves are attached to the main gas line. When the switch is turned, the gas then flows into a tube that mixes with air creating the appropriate mixture for ignition.

I replaced the broken grommets with the new ones. I purchased 8 so I would have back ups because I did not feel the new one would last either. I think they cost TOO MUCH but I could not haggle for price.
