Over time the lock nut may break or become stripped. Inspect all the centerlock nuts on your equipment as you may need to order more than one for your repair. To install a new nut, use your hands to thread it on and use a pair of pliers or a wrench to tighten it until it is securely held. Be careful not to overtighten the nut as this can deform the nut and wear down the threads that keep it secure. If you experience difficulties removing or tightening the nuts, use a centerlock nut tool or a cassette lockring tool instead. Note that this nut is sold individually.
