How to change blades
For model number 1581VS
PartSelect logo
Hi Claud, Thank you for reaching out. At the very top of the saw directly above the blade, there is a hole where you will insert a long screwdriver. Loosen the screw and the blade will drop out. Install the new blade and tighten it. I hope this helps and good luck with your repair.

Hello Bruce, Thank you for your inquiry. You can try spraying it with some WD40 or equivalent into the blade holder, then try using a pair of needle nose pliers to pull on it while pushing down on the lever. We hope this helps and if you need a part in the future and need help placing an order, customer service is open 7 days a week. Please feel free to give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you!
