The Lock Ball Joint Assembly is part of the steering mechanism, and the machine will not be able to steer without it. This part attaches to the steering block and drag link. Installation is rated as "Easy" and requires a wrench set and socket set.

This OEM Top Locknut measures 5/16x18, is made of metal, and it isused to secure parts in place and prevent backing out from vibration. Replacing this part varies in difficulty depending on the part it is securing and the equipment in question, but it is generally an easy job according to our customers. Installation requires a wrench or socket.
