The lower door closing cam is designed for use with refrigerators. It can be used on either the fresh food side, or the freezer side. It helps raise the door into position so the door can seal properly when closed. It also allows the door to easily swing open and closed. This cam is made out of plastic, so it might crack or wear down over time. If your door will not open and close properly you may need to replace a door closing cam. To successfully install this part, you will need a 5/16 nut driver and a small flat blade screwdriver. Before you begin, unplug your appliance and disconnect the water supply. Door Cam - Black

The lower door cam is also known as the closing cam or door closer cam and can be found on your refrigerator or freezer door. The purpose of the lower door cam is to lift the door to keep it from closing on the refrigerator/freezer liner. To do this repair you will need a 5/6 nut driver, a 5/16 socket and ratchet. Icemaker Control Assembly

The icemaker control assembly is located in the freezer section of your refrigerator. It is what controls the icemaker. The control turns the timing cams and the ejector blades. It controls most of the basic parts and functions, such as the heater, the water inlet valve, the cube size, and cube ejection. This replacement includes the control module and the motor, the motor is not sold separately. There are a number of reasons you might need to replace this part: if the motor is faulty, if any of the gears are worn out, or any of the plastic pieces are broken or damaged. If your icemaker is not functioning properly, you should start by testing this module. Before you begin repairing your refrigerator, make sure it is unplugged.

I backed out the 2 top screws about a quarter inch and then removed bottem screw with a quater inch nut driver. I then lifted Ice Maker clear of the two top screws and lowered it enough to unclip the power connection with a small screwdriver. removed flap door in front of icemaker...removed 3 screws with bolt heads...removed one additional screw with bolt head and ice unit slid out. I removed motor unit (pops out no screws). Replaced and had ice within 3 hours. read more

Thanks to the pictorial diagram, I was able to order correct parts. It was just a matter of removal of broken parts and replacing them. Ice maker now working and air is no longer getting into freezer which was freezing up ice maker. Thanks for timely delivery, now I am able to use ice dispenser, which I haven't used for long time.
