This part is an OEM from Generac for use with Pressure Washers and Generators. The ignition coil attaches on the side of the flywheel and produces the electrical charge to the spark plug. The most common reason for replacing the ignition coil is if the engine won't start and the coil proves to be at fault. This part is sold individually. The tools that you will need to replace the ignition coil is a flat-head screwdriver, nut driver and a socket wrench.

Removed the machines face plate by drilling out the push pins, removed the air filter assembly. removed throttle linkage, removed anchors of the spark wire from motor housing, removed the recoil start assembly. removed the bolts holding the coil assembly. installed the new coil assembly and placed business card between the coil and the ma gnetic section of the flywheel to secure the proper gap.

Reverse the process and reinstall all the assemblies noted above. I took pictures with my cellphone to ensure that the throttle linkage was properly re-installed.
