small lizard apparently living in garden hose blocked water intake when I first turned the pressure washer on. Any suggestions on how to solve the problem?

Hi Andrew, thank you for your inquiry. If your pressure washer starts and runs fine, but there is no pressure or water coming from the pump, it could be a clogged wand, hose, or inlet filter. Begin isolating the problem by hooking a water hose to the washer’s inlet and turning it on. If water flows out the outlet, you know water is cycling through. If not, your inlet filter is probably clogged. Remove it and clean it. Assuming water is flowing through the pump properly, start the engine, hook up the hose and wand, and see if it works. If not, you have a collapsed or kinked hose or a clogged wand. If that doesn't work, you should check the water supply to the equipment is sufficient and check these parts: pump, part number PS9270303, and thermo relief valve, part number PS9270416. Put some dish soap on the rubber, push into the tank hole, slip 1x2 into the handle of the tank and over the new part and pry down pushing it into the hole. Took about 2 minutes.
old valve easily pulled out with screwdriver and pliers
install difficult due to 40 degree cold temp and bushing didn't want to squeeze into fuel tank hole
install required lots of liquid soap on bushing, which popped into place by using upward prying pressure from 3"X24" plywood braced into under-shelf of gas tank
