If the turntable on your microwave does not rotate, or you can hear a grinding noise, the problem may be with the motor. The motor is typically located below the floor of the oven, and is accessed through the bottom. The motor is normally held in place with a retaining screw and will have two wires attached to it as well. If the motor is making a grinding noise it will need to be replaced. If the motor does not turn, you can check for voltage or continuity with a multi-meter. Make sure the power is disconnected from your microwave before beginning this repair.

unscrewed the bottom of the microwave and unplugged old part then took the screw out and put new one in. Super easy!

Motor Burned Out On Turntable
My 8 year old daughter cleaned the inside of the microwave with enough water to rival a tsunami. Resulted in a clean microwave with a fried out motor that no longer revolved. Part came quickly. Turntable stopped turning, tray stopped moving back and forth, and microwave made odd noises.
Unplugged power cord. Unscrewed six screws and removed bottom of microwave, unplugged wire from motor, unscrewed two screws holding motor, replaced with new motor. Put everything back in place, plugged it back in, and it worked good as new.

Took off cover and checked all of circuits (& fuse). Had continuity until I got to turntable motor. Little motor on bottom of micro.It did not have continuity.
